Hi There.. My name is Tam, short for Tamara.. given to me by my beautiful mother 46 years ago.
I live in a loving home filled with lots of laughter and lots of good chaos with the most amazing man, Celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary. We have two awesome little kids. Our son Ralphie is 9 and our baby girl Rivers is 7. They completely rule the roost.. but we love it!!
We are tucked away in sunny California in a small coastal town. If I am not trucking the little ones on adventures to the local beaches, farmers markets or thrift stores you will find me spending my days creating in my home based studio. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 10 years and love having the freedom of the day while my little ones are away at school to work on my craft. I started Nesting Pretty 8 years ago and opened up on Etsy in 2009. I love what I do and I do it with great passion. Recently diagnosed with breast cancer and fighting through chemo and radiation I have realized that I am stronger than I could have thought possible. It has given me a new found love for the beauty in all that life has blessed me with.
Nesting Pretty specializes in whimsy handmade jewelry with a pinch of shabby chic flare and rustic woodland hair accessories for everyday wear or special occasions. My woodland hair line "Behind The Shady Tree" was launched in 2011 and has become a huge success for bridal wear.
Every piece is lovingly designed and made by me.
